USPA NEWS - If a wildfire prompts an evacuation order in your area, what are the implications for you? It signifies an immediate threat to life and safety in your area, necessitating immediate departure, as any delay could jeopardize your safety and that of first responders.
If you are in the impacted area: Depart immediately and refrain from gathering additional belongings. Bring your emergency kit, including medications, vital documents, phone/charger, clothing, pet supplies, and identification.
Check in on neighbouring residents to verify their well-being and provide assistance to those requiring help with evacuation. Follow designated evacuation routes, eschewing shortcuts that may be blocked or pose a safety risk.
Registration at the designated reception centre is essential to ensure your access to support and safety.
Refrain from returning home until officials confirm it is safe, even if the fire appears to have moved away. Your safety is paramount. Evacuation orders are only issued when the threat is severe and immediate. Please comply with the instructions without delay.
